November 23-25, 2022, "The First New Energy Ceramics and Devices Technology Summit Forum and the 32nd Special Ceramics Academic Annual Conference of Yangtze River Delta (Jiangsu)" was successfully held in Yixing Taotu Peninsula Hotel, co-sponsored by Jiangsu Provincial Silicate Society, Nanjing University of Technology, Materials Research and Technology Development (Wuxi) Co., LTD., Jiangsu Academician Collaborative Innovation Center of New Energy Battery Materials and Equipment Industry. With the theme of "Common Innovation Era, Exploring New Future", this conference aims to explore new ideas, new processes, new ways and new products for the development of ceramics and new energy industry. More than 200 experts, scholars and friends from the business community gathered in Taofu to discuss new energy ceramic materials and device technology together to help the development of new energy industry. Zheng Junlin, CEO of Meter Technology, was invited to deliver the report "The Application of Imager Particle Size and Shape Instrument in the field of new Energy Ceramics".

Professor Wu Yuping, Chairman of the conference and doctoral supervisor of Southeast University, addressed the opening ceremony. Wu said that the participants include academicians, deans and scholars at the forefront of science, experts and technicians from enterprises based on the development of new energy materials, as well as leaders of industry associations. The theme of the conference covers multiple directions of new energy. Including lithium batteries, sodium ion batteries, fuel cells, solar cells, carbon dioxide conversion, heat conversion, new energy materials recovery, and so on. At the same time, there are not only cutting-edge theoretical contributions, but also hardware achievements sharing, as well as policy interpretation. This is a multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary feast.

Honorary president of the conference, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, president of Jiangsu Silicate Society, Professor Liu Jiaping from Southeast University said in his opening speech that with the development of new material technology, traditional ceramics have been given a new mission, fine ceramics, functional ceramics, structural and functional integration ceramics and so on have been widely used in different fields. In the new energy industry, ceramic components play an irreplaceable role in energy conversion, energy storage and key functional components.

Mr. Li Zheng, the second-level inspector of Jiangsu Provincial Society of Science and Technology, said in his speech at the opening ceremony that the development of new energy industry is the only way to promote the historical development and the harmonious coexistence between man and nature. It is also an important link to accelerate the adjustment of energy structure and realize the goal of double carbon actively and steadily. Ceramic materials have been widely used in many fields because of their excellent properties such as electrical conductivity, high strength, high temperature resistance and aging resistance. Li also suggested that more attention be paid to the use of hydrogen energy.

In the warm applause of the participants, Inspector Li Zheng handed the plaque of "Collaborative Innovation Center of Jiangsu New Energy Battery Materials and Equipment Industry Academicians" to Mr. Wang of Honeycomb Company.
